Local Government of Silago, Southern Leyte helps fund ORC March 17, 2009
Silago LGU has given financial support to help launch ORC programs for Silago. Mayor Manuel Labrador and Vice Mayor Lemuel Honor expressed their enthusiasm about ORC’s role in Silago’s effort in responsible tourism and environmental protection. “Silago has so many resources, and we need organizations like ORC that take the initiative and help us put these resources to good use,” Vice Mayor Lemuel Honor said.

ORC partners with University of Asia and the Pacific in Eco-blog Contest April 2009
University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P), in partnership with ORC, has launched the Eco-blog Contest to support UA&P’s English Week’s theme: “Civic Responsibility in a Threatened Environment.” The ORC website will be the blogging site of the contest, which will be open for UA&P bloggers from April 18, 2009 to July 4, 2009.
The Eco-blog Contest is an online writing contest that calls for active participation among young people through insightful blogs that promote the uniqueness and beauty of the Philippines and the ways to protect its natural environment.
